Terms & Conditions
FillACart gives you the tools to do even more to help local charities. We know that these tools are going to be very helpful and everyone loves free stuff, but we do need to have a few limitations. We need to fairly distribute our sponsors donations and protect the benefit of the site to well-intentioned participants. That means rules but we've done our best to keep these rules from getting in the way of the goals of this site.
Being fair to all participants
We have an awesome sponsor for our t-shirts, but we need to respect their donation by making sure that no one is able to abuse the offer (by monopolizing the limited supply). So, the free shirts have these terms:
- You must adhere to the code of conduct described below to be eligible for free t-shirts.
- Free t-shirts are limited to ten (10) per team/address.
- We reserve the right to request photocopies of food receipts and the right to contact the charity and confirm your donation prior to sending your t-shirt(s). We don't expect this will ever come up, but you need to know that we have thought about it.
- If we run out of t-shirts, you'll still get something. In other words, we reserve the right to substitute the free t-shirt for something of similar coolness (at our discretion).
Protecting FillACart
By registering a team, you agree to adhere to the following code of conduct. These standards protect you, all the other participants and the reputation of the site itself, so it's pretty important stuff.
The code of conduct is guided by a principle of being respectful at all times. That includes being respectful towards other teams, the charities and the families who ultimately benefit, and toward the other visitors to FillACart.org. This includes:
- Team names, information, and photos must not contain obscenity of any kind. If FillACart.org was a movie, it would be rated PG (PG-13 at most), so please keep R rated content off the site.
- Overly commercialized team content is not welcome. FillACart.org loves it when businesses sponsor carts. We make sure you have opportunities to gain positive attention for your business, but your team page shouldn't read like a yellow pages ad for your company.
- FillACart.org doesn't like spammers. Team pages must not contain any mention of subjects like porn, pills, casinos, surveys, or anything similarly marketed on the internet. The website you link to from your team page can't have spammy content or attempt to install any software. We won't link to bad neighborhoods and won't allow keyword stuffed team pages, regardless of subject.
Any individual found violating these rules or the spirit of the code of conduct may have any content they've added to FillACart.org removed. Their ability to access the site may also be revoked. The offer for free t-shirts will definitely be revoked.
